Talking to clients, understanding their needs and coming up with solutions to problems is very rewarding. Clients are often very apprehensive when they get letters from HMRC which they don’t really understand and it’s good to help put their minds at rest.
The worst bits are when a client asks for advice after they have structured a transaction – it is often then too late to rectify matters and the client may end up paying more tax than they needed to.
