What’s New This Week @ETC Tax – W/C 21/01/2019
January continues to be a busy month. Here is a summary of what we have been working on this week:
– Advising a UK resident (and now deemed UK domiciled) client on the UK tax treatment of the remittance of funds in 2017/18. The funds remitted were part of an overseas capital gain which had been made in 2012/13 and in that year the client had claimed the remittance basis and paid the remittance basis charge;
– Assisting a client with a land remediation relief claim;
– Assisting a company with a claim for EIS; and
– Advising a client on the incorporation of their property business.
