Recently we completed a file review of a well-established international trust and corporate services provider. Many of the files we examined had been as a result of consolidation amongst providers and many cases had not engaged tax advice for several decades. Significant changes to the assets and the beneficiaries (including one or two family members now being UK resident!) had obviously happened over this time.
We would be more than happy to offer such a service to other Trust providers who have undertaken similar expansion plans and are perhaps unclear as to the tax position of some of these new cases.
